While many of us are winding down for the year, school library staff are already planning their exciting new library displays to welcome students back for 2021, especially those schools that have been in extended lock-down during 2020.
We thought this might be a great time to share some of the past entries from the School Library Association’s (SLA) School Library Display Competition* and the Softlink School Library Display Competition.
Why not create a suggestion box for students to suggest the next theme?
* Proudly sponsored by Softlink Education, the SLA School Library Display competition is open to the UK school community and prize draws are held every three months, so there are four chances a year to win! Visit this link for more information.
Thanks to everyone who submitted entries this year! 2021 competition dates will be announced in the new year. For all the info, see www.sla.org.uk/library-display-competition.
We love to see examples of how school libraries are promoting reading and engagement through library displays! If you have a display you’d like to share with us, email communications@softlinkint.com or tag us on Twitter.
