Softlink has partnered with the School Library Association (SLA) and Peters to launch Mission Control, a new subscription service designed to help primary schools across the UK build and sustain effective, engaging library provision while making the most of their budgets.
Mission Control brings together three essential elements in one simple subscription:
Boost your budget: Mission Control offers you over £500 in savings!
Together, these elements provide schools with a practical and cost-effective way to create a thriving reading culture and support literacy across the whole school.
Mission Control is designed to support everyone involved in reading and library development, including librarians, teaching staff, literacy leads and volunteers.
With Orbit at its core, schools can easily manage and access resources across the entire school, whether books are located in a central library, classrooms or shared reading spaces. The system integrates with school administration platforms and simplifies cataloguing, helping staff save time and focus on supporting pupils.
Alongside this, the SLA provides expert advice, training and professional support to help schools build and sustain successful library provision, while Peters supplies a high-quality book collection designed to engage pupils and promote reading for pleasure.
Victoria Dilly, CEO of the School Library Association, said: “The SLA believes that every pupil is entitled to effective school library provision and all the opportunities this enables. Mission Control brings together three essential partners to make sustainable, impactful library provision accessible to even the smallest schools. By combining expert guidance, engaging software and carefully selected books, we’re helping schools deliver outstanding reading experiences that support education outcomes across the whole school community. I am looking forward to welcoming more primary schools to the SLA community through this exciting partnership.”
