We are pleased to share that Oliver v5 has participated in the Safer Technologies 4 Schools (ST4S) assessment and meets the minimum required ST4S standards against the 2024 ST4S Assessment Standards. This reflects our ongoing commitment to protecting student and school data while delivering powerful, easy-to-use tools for school libraries.
“Participating in the ST4S process provides additional feedback that helps us continually refine Oliver v5 and align our controls with recognised privacy and security best practice”
- Tony Parfitt, Security Manager, Softlink Education
ST4S is a national, standardised approach to evaluating the privacy and security of digital products used in schools across Australia, developed in collaboration with all Australian education sectors and the New Zealand Ministry of Education. Its goal is to give school leaders clear, consistent information to help reduce risk when selecting technology.
With Oliver v5, you get a digital-rich, engaging library experience backed by robust privacy and security practices aligned to the ST4S framework - so you can focus on literacy, research skills, and community engagement with confidence.
If you’d like to understand the ST4S framework and the Product Badge Program in more detail, visit the ST4S Product Badge Program page. It explains how the badge helps schools identify suppliers who have been assessed and where to access supporting information.
Note: An ST4S assessment outcome does not, on its own, indicate compliance with all State/Territory or non-government sector requirements.
