Access publication - June 2019

The June 2019 edition of ACCESS Journal of the Australian School Library Association (Vol. 33, No. 2) includes an article titled What can we learn from our neighbours? From Digital Literacy to Independent Learning by Softlink Education Director of Marketing, Nikki Curtis.

In November 2018, Nikki delivered a presentation at the JCS Online Resources Conference – ‘From Digital Literacy to Independent Learning: challenges and opportunities for teachers and librarians’.

The conference provided librarians an opportunity to learn from, share and collaborate with each around the topic of digital literacy and the need to guide and support students to think critically about digital technologies.

This article presents an overview of the conference program and highlights, shares some key insights from the day, and provides a link to the conference presentations.
