The Softlink Education Team is excited to announce the recent launch of our new Oliver v5 Community Portal. The portal has been designed for the purpose of creating a virtual meeting place for the ever-growing community of Oliver v5 users as well as to replace our previous Helpdesk tool, which was successfully used for many years for submitting and tracking support tasks.
The Oliver v5 Community Portal is now available for all schools using Oliver v5 in Australia, New Zealand, South East Asia and the Americas. The portal will be launched later this year to Oliver v5 clients in the United Kingdom, Europe, Middle East and Africa.
The portal is one easy-to-use central location for discovering resources, including training videos, webinar recordings, product release notes, How To articles and more. From the portal, users can browse a list of topics and see articles or community discussions relating to that topic. They can also follow topics that are of interest to them to receive updates on new articles or discussions.
To encourage community engagement, members are rewarded with points for being active in the community. There are many ways you can receive points: writing posts, answering a question, liking a post or having your answer marked as best are just a few. All community members start as a Participant and can work their way up through the Levels. Softlink will be rewarding community members for achieving Master, Guru and Grand Master status.
Discussion Groups are another exciting feature of the new Oliver v5 Community Portal. There is a wide variety of Discussion Groups that you can join. You could sign up to a User Group in your local area or join discussion groups for Library Displays, Book Reviews or Popular Books for Boys/Girls to share ideas and collaborate with community members across the other side of the world.
Softlink Education are running a competition to encourage Portal members to upload their photo for a more engaging conversation with their colleagues. All members with a photo go in the draw to win one of three cash vouchers for their school. The competition closes on the 15th December.
