6 most popular Softlink education blogs in 2017

2017 was an exciting year for Softlink Education, with the release of our new-look Oliver v5 search interface in May and our newest product, LearnPath in October.

Our Training and Support teams have been busy, both providing on-call help for customers’ individual needs and developing a range of resources including webinars and videos that customers can access any time they want to brush up their general Oliver v5 knowledge.

Customer Community Manager Susan Gan has worked hard delivering a variety of initiatives to ensure Softlink customers feel supported as part of a dynamic global community of school library professionals. Susan’s International User Group webinars were a definite highlight, as was the School Library Display Competition.

The sheer number of entries in the competition – all of them beautiful and amazing – really demonstrated the amount of time, thought and dedication that library workers invest into making school libraries such special and uplifting places for students. By the way, if you haven’t already, head over to Twitter and follow the #ThankaLibraryWorker hashtag – it’s wonderful to see so many people celebrating the positive difference library workers make in the world! And while you’re there, don’t forget to follow us @SoftlinkEdu

Here on the Softlink blog, we aim to support school library workers by connecting them with ideas that can help and inspire them. Innovation, technology & student engagement in the school library were major themes on the blog this year, and we were privileged to welcome a number of guest bloggers who generously shared some wonderful insights into their own practice as school library professionals.

We want to say a special thank you to Josephine Laretive from Moriah College, Jackie Child from St Aidan’s Anglican Girls’ School, and the Library teams at Buninyong Primary School, St Michael’s College, British School in Tokyo, and Hercules Road State School for their generous contributions to our blog. All these posts were very popular and we look forward to more guest posts and school library showcases on our blog in the New Year.

To finish off a fantastic year, our final entry is a roundup of the most viewed blog posts of 2017. If you’d like to revisit these, simply click on the image below for links to each post, or find them directly from the Schools blog menu.

Thanks to all our new and regular blog readers and of course, to our wonderful community of Oliver v5 customers. We wish you a safe and happy festive season and look forward to joining you again in 2018.
