Webinar explores the benefits of teaching kids to code

Get kids coding

By learning to code, young people improve their problem solving skills, logical thinking and confidence with digital technologies. Coding provides support for key academic subjects such as science, maths and technology.

But don’t worry - you don’t need to have any previous coding experience or a big budget to #getkidscoding at your school. All you need is a venue (your school library would be the perfect space) and kids who want to have some fun!

Code Club Australia shares Softlink’s passion for digital literacy in schools and they want to give every kid in Australia the chance to learn coding skills.

On the 28th July 2016, a number of school library staff and teachers joined a Softlink hosted webinar with Code Club Australia’s Ian Wedlock to find out about the benefits of teaching kids to code and the Code Club Australia programs.
